1. Who we are
This policy covers the gornitsa.games website and all mobile games by the Gornitsa studio (“we”). We are the operator of personal data within the meaning of Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ of July 27, 2006 “On Personal Data”.
For any questions about your data, write to gornitsa.games@gmail.com.
2. What data we process
Below is everything our games may process. What each released game actually collects is described in section 3.
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Game progress, saved games and settings | While you play | To continue where you left off |
| Profile nickname and tag, device key fingerprint | If you play online | Playing online with friends, ratings, moving your profile to another phone |
| Online games: moves, results, chat messages, ratings, friends and invitations | If you play online | Playing with other people and tournaments |
| Purchase details: order number, item, status | When you buy something | Granting and restoring purchases |
| Device advertising ID | In games with ads | Showing ads and limiting how often they appear |
| Anonymous statistics: which screens were opened, how long a game lasted | In games where it is enabled | Improving games and their balance |
| Problem report: game version, phone model, crash log | Only when you send it yourself | Finding and fixing bugs |
| Email text and attachments | When you write to support | Replying to you |
| IP address, browser, time of request | When you visit the website | Security and running the server |
We never receive or store bank card details: payments are handled by RuStore. The gornitsa.games website uses no cookies and no visitor counters.
3. Votchina
Votchina is a free game with no ads. It contains no analytics, no ad networks and no third-party tracking. This section has been in effect since September 25, 2026.
Playing on your phone
Games against bots and pass-and-play games send nothing anywhere. A game by link goes only where you send the link yourself — it never passes through our server. Settings, saved games and history stay on your phone.
Playing in a browser
The web version (/play/) works the same way: whatever the phone keeps in its own storage, the browser keeps in its storage (localStorage), and none of it goes to the server. There are no cookies. A game-by-link address carries the move after the “#” sign — the browser never sends that part of an address to the server. If you clear the site data in your browser, the key of your online profile goes with it; you can move your profile beforehand under Profile → Manage profile.
Playing online: what the server keeps
- The nickname you chose and a six-character tag that friends use to add you.
- A fingerprint of your device key. The server issues the key on first use; the key itself is stored only on your phone, and the server keeps only its SHA-256 hash. The game never asks for an email, phone number or password.
- Online games: who is at the table, the rules, the moves, the result, chat messages (emoji and ready-made phrases only — there is no free text), and the tournament clock.
- Your rating and tournament game results; the tournaments you take part in.
- Friends and table invitations.
- When you were last online, to the nearest hour.
- A profile transfer parcel — your game history and games by link — if you move your profile to another phone. It is kept only while the transfer code is valid (15 minutes at most) and erased when claimed, cancelled or replaced.
What the game does not collect
Advertising ID, location, contacts, photos, files, camera or microphone, or information about other apps. Turn notifications are local: your phone asks the server itself, and the server stores no push tokens.
Problem reports
Settings → Report a problem builds a report: the game version, your phone model and Android version, a log of recent crashes (kept only on your phone) and, if you leave the box checked, a link to the open game (it contains player names) or the online game’s number. You see the whole text before sending. The report is sent only when you tap Send (Copy in a browser) — with your email app or a messenger of your choice; the game itself never sends it anywhere.
Who can see it
Your nickname, tag and rating are visible to your opponents and friends; a game is visible to the players at the table and to members of the same tournament. Data is not shared with or sold to anyone else. The game server runs on Cloudflare, which stores the data; request logs (including IP addresses) are kept for a few days.
How long it is kept and how to delete it
For as long as your profile exists. Results of finished games remain after you delete your profile — for your opponents these are their games too — but without your name. You can delete your profile in the game: Profile → Manage profile → Delete online profile (before version 2.3: Play online → Delete profile). If you no longer have the phone, see how to delete your profile.
Age
The game is intended for everyone aged 13 and over; online play is not directed at children.
4. Games in development
Long Nardy, Anamnesis, Uzory and Skazy haven’t been released yet. Before each game comes out, we will add a section here describing what data it collects.
5. Legal grounds
We process data to perform the user agreement you enter into when you install and launch a game, and on the basis of your consent. You give consent to personalized ads in the game itself and can withdraw it at any time.
6. Who we share data with
- RuStore — distributing our games and handling payments and subscriptions.
- Cloudflare — Votchina’s online mode runs on its servers.
- A hosting provider in Russia — the gornitsa.games website runs on its server.
- Ad networks such as VK Ads or Yandex Advertising Network — only in games with ads, and only the advertising ID and technical details of the device.
- Analytics and crash-reporting services such as AppMetrica — only in games where they are enabled, and only anonymous statistics.
We don’t sell or rent out data.
7. Where and how long we keep data
The gornitsa.games website runs on a server in Russia. Data of Votchina’s online mode is stored on Cloudflare’s servers.
- A Votchina online profile — for as long as it exists (see section 3).
- In other games, your account, progress and purchases — while you play and for 3 more years after your last sign-in.
- Support correspondence — 1 year after the last email.
- Website server logs — no longer than 30 days.
After these periods, data is deleted or anonymized.
8. Children
We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children under 14 without parental consent. If you are a parent and believe your child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
At any time you can:
- find out what data we hold about you and how we use it;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to delete your data or account;
- withdraw your consent to data processing;
- complain to Roskomnadzor if you believe we are violating your rights.
To exercise these rights, write to gornitsa.games@gmail.com from the address or account you use in the game; for Votchina, include your tag. We reply within 10 business days and delete data within 30 days of the request.
10. How we protect data
Data is transmitted over a secure connection (HTTPS), only the studio’s developers have access to the servers, and passwords and keys are stored separately from the code.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change the policy, the new version will appear on this page with a new date. We will announce significant changes in the game.
